Online Therapy in NC, SC, FL, & VT

That all depends on you! People come to me with varying degrees of need and readiness to change. Some people would like to address many life issues, while others want to target one specific issue. Because of these variables, some people choose to be in therapy a few months while others choose the long game. My practice is a varied mix of people. Some I will work with for a brief amount of time and others I have seen for years.

That’s a big ole’ NOPE! Many people begin therapy because they feel that something isn’t working. It be like that sometimes. Everyone could use some extra support in navigating tricky issues. That does not mean you are incapable, broken, sick, or any other nonsense.
Others choose therapy to learn more about themselves, so that they may gain insight and awareness into their current life challenges and struggles.

I have a virtual practice. I provide online therapy to allow for greater flexibility and convenience for my clients.

With intention, my practice is built to suit different financial situations and approaches to standard mental health practices.
My standard rate for individual, family sessions and private consultations is $165 per session, which can be paid via electronic transfer.
I am able to provide an invoice (superbill) that you can submit to insurance for possible reimbursement. However, I do not communicate directly with the insurance carrier.
I reserve some limited spots for those self-pay clients needing a reduced rate.
FOR NC RESIDENTS ONLY - Due to my concerns around privacy, forced limitations, and mandatory diagnosing, I choose to keep my insurance spots minimal. As I know this is a barrier for many and I believe in access to care, I am contracted part-time with a separate group practice where I am able to accept BCBS, Cigna, Aetna and United Health Care.

This part is never fun. In order to encourage accountability and ensure a sustainable business, a full cancellation fee will apply for any missed appointments that are not cancelled within 24 hours. Everyone gets one free pass. Life happens! Accommodation for unique situations will be considered.

As of January 1, 2022, all healthcare providers are required to provide estimates for the costs of your care. The GFE shows the cost of items and services that are reasonably expected for your healthcare needs and treatment. This will be provided by this office and/or as requested. The GFE does not include unexpected costs that could arise during treatment.
YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO RECEIVE A “GOOD FAITH ESTIMATE” EXPLAINING HOW MUCH YOUR MEDICAL CARE WILL COST.
Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.-Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
For questions or to read the full disclosure regarding Patient Protections Against Surprise Billing or for more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
